The diving watch U212 (EZM 16) is made of high-strength, seawater-resistant German Submarine Steel and is 47 mm in diameter. The SINN technologies used in the U212 (EZM 16) make it a robust and accurate instrument for professional diving operations. For example, Ar-Dehumidifying Technology ensures greater functional reliability and freedom from fogging. Temperature Resistance Technology guarantees the functional reliability of the watch in temperatures ranging from –45°C to +80°C. The captive diver’s bezel with minute ratcheting has also been hardened using TEGIMENT Technology, making it especially scratch-resistant. As the clarity and perfect readability of the mission timer from Sinn Spezialuhren are generally important, especially in the dark or under extreme diving conditions, the all-important features for recording the time are luminous.

The classification company DNV GL has tested the reliability and suitability of the watch for professional use. It verifies and certifies the pressure resistance of the U212 (EZM 16) to a diving depth of 1,000 metres (= 100 bar) and temperature resistance and functionality in accordance with the European diving device standards.
