The rescue pilots of the German Navy were looking for a chronograph that would allow the calculation of flight speeds - but at the same time be able to withstand the toughest operational conditions. This was the birth of the S.A.R. Flieger-Chronograph, which we developed together with the Navy rescue pilots.
 
PUSHER POSITION
START PUSHER AT 8 O'CLOCK
The large start pusher is easy to operate even with gloves. So that it does not press on the back of the hand when flying, it was placed at 8 o'clock.
 
TIME MEASUREMENT
10 SECONDS SCALE
The clearly marked 10-second scale was particularly important to the rescue pilots. This is used for time measurements to calculate the airspeed.
 
CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTION
GOOD READABILITY
The large case diameter allows the time or a stop time to be safely recorded at a glance. For easy differentiation of both time functions, the chronograph displays are marked in orange.
